United Group Limited is a company that specialises in acquiring and supplying petroleum products that have been refined using advanced technologies.
Trading under the brand name United Petroleum (UP), we are not only the present market leader in the petroleum business, but also the top bunkering firm in Zanzibar, with a unique bunkering fuelling facility for ships and ferries.
United Group strives to create a streamlined distribution mechanism so that we can stay committed to our customers: to regularly supply high-quality oil products on time and in full. Our skilled staff is dedicated to finding better, safer, and cleaner ways to distribute our products.
Having our own cutting-edge storage facilities and logistics, we are able to offer a competitive pricing to our customers based in Tanzania and Dar es Salaam as well as provide charter services to other players within the industry.
We presently own and operate 21 petrol stations on the island of Zanzibar. These stations may be incorporated as a solution for corporate clients that want to buy bulk fuel while still utilising our extensive network to service their fleet.

UNITED PETROLEUM KEROSENE
- Meets the Jet A1 & TBS specifications
- Mainly used in Jet Propulsion Engine
- Available at freeze point of – 40 ºC or below
- Available at freeze point of – 47 ºC or below
- Contains a static dissipater additive
- Fit for jet propulsion engine, cooking & lighting
50ppm LOW SULPHUR DIESEL
- Refined to the lowest sulphur content
- Gives more cleaning power
- More eco-friendly
- Suitable for all diesel engines
- Helps to avoid impaired fuel spray and reduced fuel flow
- Better engine protection and improved combustion
- Helps to maintain the efficiency of vehicle’s engine.
TANKER CHARTER SERVICES
- Spot chartering service available
- Total cubic capacity is 4173.5m3
- It has 6 cargo pumps with separated pipelines
- Two pumps can run simultaneously (discharge capacity 550m3 per hour)
- Our charter routes are: Dar es Salaam, STS Point Mangapwani, Mombasa, Mtwara, Comoros & Mozambique ports
