Marine Transport

About

Our Marine Transport division comprises of two entities: Azam Marine Company Limited and Kilimanjaro Fast Ferries Limited.

While Azam Marine Company Limited is a highly skilled transportation company that offers cargo delivery services from Dar Es Salaam to any destination in Zanzibar, Pemba or Tanga, Kilimanjaro Fast Ferries Limited strives to provide the ultimate travel experiences by offering a unique range of ferry services between Dar Es Salaam, Zanzibar, Pemba and Tanga. These services are carefully tailored to satisfy both domestic and foreign travellers’ requirements.

In the competitive world of water transportation, our division’s tenacious strategy of constant innovation and regular fleet maintenance enables us to provide our customers with an unparalleled experience, whether as a passenger or for the transfer of goods. Our vessels are manufactured in Australia and Europe based on our strict guidelines to ensure comfort, the availability of high-quality security equipment and access to communication and navigation instruments on board.

The Bakhresa Group was the first maritime transportation player in Tanzania to launch an online ticket system that allows passengers to book trips on our ferry services from anywhere in the world. Our hardworking team of professionals has a wealth of experience and is fully qualified to introduce new and modern vessels to our fleets to improve our customers’ experience.

Being acutely conscious of our environmental responsibilities, our corporate philosophy is focused on sustainability and minimising our impact on the natural world.

The Marine division will continue to lead the development of new fast ferry design concepts such as more advanced car-carrying catamarans, as well as the development of high-speed vessels. We will also be working on adaptable alternatives to suit our customers’ meticulous requirements while taking into account the new International Maritime Organisation (IMO) codes in force in Tanzania.
