Our Agro Processing & Grain Milling Division, which began operations in 1983, consists of wheat, rice, and maize milling and storage. It aims to consistently supply high quality products to our East African customers. 

As our team strives to produce superior wheat flour for both home baking and professional bakeries, we invest in cutting-edge machinery and equipment of global standards to ensure that our operations remain effective and efficient.

The Agro Milling & Grain Processing team, which is anchored by an innovative culture, reviews our processes on a consistent basis so that we can increase our production capacity while still controlling costs. This strategy enables us to keep our prices competitive without compromising the quality of our products.

The Bakhresa Group has successfully turned around various wheat, rice, and maize mills acquired through the Tanzanian Presidential Parastatal Sector Reform Commission’s Privatisation Programme over the years.

We currently have the highest capacity for wheat milling and storage in East Africa, focusing mainly on grain milling activities. We have also invested in a state-of-the-art and fully automated Buhler mill, as well as increased our wheat milling capacity by 750 tonnes to 3,250 tonnes per day in 2020. Furthermore, the Group has acquired an automated loading system to increase efficiency of operations.
