Bakhresa Malawi Limited was incorporated in 2003 to take over the assets of the former Government Parastatal, Grain & Milling Company Ltd (GRAMIL), under the Government of Malawi Privatisation Programme.

Our business activities include the production of wheat flour and washing soap, as well as the management of Direct-to-Home (DTH) TV subscriptions.

To ensure that we produce premium quality wheat flour, we run a state-of-the-art computerised wheat mill from Buhler, Switzerland, as well as sophisticated industrial laboratory equipment to test all critical parameters of final products.

Bakhresa Malawi Limited decided to diversify its product portfolio by adding washing soap to its line of products after identifying a local demand for it. Our high-quality, long-lasting and affordable Azam Washing Soap is now a household name in Malawi.

In 2016, we also launched Azam TV DTH subscription management services as part of our ongoing efforts to better serve our Malawian customers. This service is currently the most affordable and wholesome family entertainment option on Direct-To-Home (DTH) platform.
