The Bakhresa Group formed its Broadcast & Media Division in early 2013 and officially launched its broadcast and media services under the brand AzamTV on 04 December 2013. Over time, the Group has achieved its vertical integration strategy by extending its activities to include production, distribution, and broadcasting through the entities Azam Media Limited, Azam TV Limited, and Azam Digital Broadcast Limited (ADBL) respectively.
We have invested extensively in our own infrastructure and equipment, including state-of-the-art Studios, Outside Broadcasting (OB) Vans, Digital Satellite News Gathering (DSNG), Data Video Unit (DVU), and Professional Commentary Production Control Room (PCR) facilities. These investments helped us in streamlining our operations which created cost-cutting opportunities. As a result, we are able to keep our subscription prices down while still enhancing our service offerings.
Our teams are committed to providing our audiences with high-quality local content, such as the Tanzania Premier League, and in-house produced programmes such as talk shows, Sports programmes, live events, news and current affairs, in-studio game shows, kids’ entertainment, and reality TV shows.
We operate on Direct to Home (DTH), Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) and Over the Top (OTT) platforms.
Our constant search for innovation has led us to release our mobile application, AzamTV Max which expands our global presence, and, more recently, our radio channel, UFM Radio.
In line with our slogan “Entertainment for Everyone,” we strive to seek new ways to improve our offerings while keeping our prices low and stable.
