Our logistics division is divided into two operations: transport and inland container depot facility services. Our flag-ship company, Said Salim Bakhresa & Company Limited (SSB) manages the transport service under the name Azam Transport, while our inland depot is operated by Azam Inland Container Depot.
The transport division of the flagship company, Said Salim Bakhresa & Co Ltd, operates under the name Azam Transport.
Our clients have access to a fleet of vehicles capable of transporting a wide range of cargo throughout Tanzania and from Tanzania to landlocked neighbouring countries. With the proper infrastructure and the most up-to-date equipment, we are able to provide simple and cost-effective solutions for all transportation and logistical requirements in order to meet the specific needs of our clients.
We have semi-trailers, 30/10 tonne trucks, fully covered trailers, and low loaders among our fleet of vehicle. Keeping up with technology, we can monitor our vehicles 24 hours a day and seven days a week using the latest tracking system. SSB’s transport service has its footprint in Uganda, Mozambique, Malawi, and Rwanda.
To complement our transportation service, our inland container depot is strategically situated, roughly 6 kilometres from the Dar Es Salaam port. This facility is one of the most preferred centres for importers and exporters using the port. We have sophisticated equipment for processing containers and advanced IT systems for the location and handling of containers. An efficient security system, including surveillance cameras at entry and exit locations, makes it a safe and secure place for cargo.
We have within this facility a customs office, a port office, and a bank to facilitate quicker processing and clearance of cargo. We offer both storage facilities for containerised cargo and Less than Container Load (LCL) shipments. Furthermore, two covered and secured warehouses are there to receive and store loose cargo.
