Bagamoyo Sugar Limited
At the behest of the Tanzanian Government, the green field project of Bagamoyo Sugar Limited (Bagamoyo Sugar), a unit of Bakhresa Group, was incorporated on 01 December 2016, to grow sugar cane in the nucleus estate and produce sugar at Makurunge, Bagamoyo District.
The main objective of the project is not only to reduce dependence on sugar imports while attaining self-sufficiency, but also to produce surplus sugar for export.

The Bakhresa Group invested in the prestigious heritage milling facility, which is located 5 kilometres from the Port of Durban before transforming it into a state-of-the-art wheat milling facility.
The Bakhresa SA (Pty) Limited facility is KwaZulu-Natal’s largest mill which operates under one roof.

Azam Inland Container Depot
Azam Inland Container Depot (Azam ICD) is located in the Chang’ombe area of Dar Es Salaam, nearly 6 kilometres from the port, and it offers one of the most secure and safest storage facilities favoured by many importers and exporters passing through the Dar Es Salaam port.
We have a customs office, Tanzania Bureau of Standards (TBS), and Other Government Departments involved in the clearance process as well as a bank on-site to facilitate quick processing and clearance of cargo.

Bakhresa Grain Milling (Burundi) Limited was created in May 2009 and it began production in July 2013. We quickly became the leading wheat milling factory in Burundi in terms of quality and volume production capacity.

Bakhresa Grain Milling (Uganda) Limited (BGM Uganda) is based in Kampala and produces the finest quality of wheat flour.
Running at a wheat milling capacity of 1,100 tonnes per day, BGM Uganda is the largest wheat mill in Uganda, with a wheat storage capacity of 39,700 tons.
