The President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Honorable Samia Suluhu Hassan, has launched the Ground-Based Television Broadcasting Towers (Digital Terrestrial Television – DTT) Project by Azam Media Limited, which has cost the company approximately 50 billion Tanzanian shillings. This project will ensure reliable television broadcasting in the country.
President Samia congratulated Azam Media on launching this project and insisted that the Government will continue to create a good environment to ensure the sustainability of the media sector, particularly in the field of broadcasting technology.
The CEO of Azam Media Limited, Mr. Abubakar Bakhresa presented a gift to the President which is a special device that allows her to watch Azam TV live from her car.
During this special event President Samia also met with Georgina Magesa, a child with dreams of becoming the President of the United Republic of Tanzania.
